Snow Castles

So not too long ago - it really snowed on the city. I had Kaya coming over the following day, so I stayed up late piling the snow up to build a proper snow fort.

Kaya, of course, was ecstatic. And pitched in on the shoveling efforts.

The next morning, we took a break to enjoy the fluffy deep, and make some snow angels. Stanton Avenue was buried in thick white blankets.

Then came the important task of stamping down the snow, and building a proper slide off the side of the snow castle.

Then we dug and dug -

And it finally took shape! Work in progress - but it's not going anywhere with these frosty temps. The snow fort now boasts a top entrance, tunnel, crystal room, and 2 windows. Keep posted quite possibly for updates. Ah, winter - I do love you.
