Kaya's Mama recently learned from the family doctor that Kaya is in the top 99th % in height for her age, but only at 40% for weight. Fear not though, as kaybug has recently shed her picky eating habits, and is catching back up to the cutest little bit of baby fat.
Her vocabulary and sheer imagination have bloomed, and not only is she surprising me with new articulate expressions every week, but she has become quite the creative dreamer - often directing playtime games with a director's grace - making sure everyone that plays follows out a script in her head, and pretty much everyone is also obligated to repeat whatever lines she gives you verbatim. This can be both hilarious, and demanding. Ha.
Anyway, we were out on a walk together this Saturday morning. The weather was nice for February - 45 degrees and sunny... with smog-free air. So we decided to walk up to our old neighborhood on Broadway : the Bakery, our old store, our old house with the red door (at the garage), and our friends. We got to see them all and spent a nice couple hours strolling.
Along the way to the bank, we came across a mural wall that Kaya remembers from walks last year, and wanted to get her picture taken because it was her "picture place." So we got a couple cute ones- and here's one from about a year ago just to see how much my little sweet potato has grown.
