Kaya hadn't ever seen a movie in a real-live movie theater before, and now that she's getting so big & grown up, Daddy figured it was time.
We had cheese quesadillas with nacho chips, and killed an hour and a pocketful of quarters shooting hoops and playing video games at the arcade, until the big moment arrived...
...the 8:10PM showing of Bolt, in spectacular 3D! Kaya had problems keeping the adult-sized 3D glasses balanced on her little button-nose, but we both thought the movie and 3D effects were totally radical. Then again, there was the poopy diaper blowout about halfway through, the emergency ice-cream diversion about 2/3 the way through, and the "i'm feeling restless because i'm little and 2 years old" phase where kaya insisted on walking up and down the stairs of the movie theater aisles to find the perfect spot to watch the movie from.
So maybe our movie-going skills are a little rough, but when it comes to spending a fun day together, this daddy/daughter duo does it right.

This last photo is of us catching our first movie together with our 3D spectacles. It's a little grainy, but check out how excited we are!
